If You Didn't Have a Birthday, How Old Would You Be?
I'm not sure what the answer to that question is, but I do know that if I didn't have a birthday every year, it would be pretty easy for me to feel and think like a young person, even though I have the body of someone who's lived through decades of life. Still, my mind is as sharp as ever. The problem is that my body just can't keep up.
What to Do?
The first step is to stop worrying about how old we are or whether or not we're feeling old or young instead let's focus on feeling good—and that starts by letting go of the idea that any age is better or worse than another.
There's no such thing as a "good age" or an "old age." All ages are simply different life stages— each stage has its challenges and triumphs.
Did I Leave You Hanging Last Week?
Last week I wrote that I was unconventional and unique in my ways and that my secret to breaking the rules of aging is that my "health stool" is different because it has 5 legs, and not the conventional 3.
If all legs on the stool are balanced and equal your health will follow and start to balance itself. But if one or more legs are shorter or uneven, the stool will wobble and maybe you'll actually slide off, your health is no different.
So what makes up my health stool's 5 unique legs? Well, actually, they are not unique at all.
Remember, that equal and balanced legs are the KEY to you feeling that youthful confidence again.
They are:
exercise
food
rest and relax
mindset / how you think
hormones
I am going to highlight each of these power legs (to my stool) over the next few weeks so that you will know how to keep yourself balanced with some simple easy steps.
What is the First Step?
The short answer is a good diet, exercise, and sleep. Integrating these three things will definitely help you feel younger than your age.
The first next step would be to start exercising more often so that your body stays flexible throughout life rather than getting stiffer as time goes on which can lead to other problems such as arthritis and mobility issues later on down the road.
Exercise is one of the most essential parts of staying young because it will help keep the hormones in your body balanced so that you actually feel good.
Is it not true, that as you start to exercise, you feel a fresh burst of energy? And in fact, when you're exercising on top of eating healthy and getting enough sleep, your body will probably get healthier faster than ever before.
Why Exercise?
So, what are the benefits of consistent exercise:
helps your muscles stay strong
improve your posture
boost your self-esteem
keeps the hormones in your body balanced
improves mood
reduces stress
boosts immunity
helps to keep your weight down
And the most important part of 'exercise' is to have fun! Truly, exercise should be something you start to look forward to.
How to Become an Advocate
Our processes start with lab work, analysis, and realistic goals. After all, if you start chasing solutions without understanding what's happening, you will not be successful in feeling better.
We help our clients become advocates. We don't just request the typical blood panel. We make sure you are getting a complete evaluation along with second opinions from various experts. Your condition might be typical aging, but often there is something else going on. We help our clients not only identify the issue but take the time to understand the issue, so they can make intelligent choices.
Now that we have a window into your body, we can start to infuse good choices into your life.
To learn more about the next steps, you can schedule a free 35-minute no obligation strategy call here, so you can ask questions and I can learn more about your situation.
